I think that on these sites, it is possible, at least with the latest editions of MediaWiki software, to even prevent accont creation without specifying an email address. But there are two flaws that will hopefully be fixed in futrure versions of MediaWiki, one is to separate the login and register buttons, the other is, to require email confirmation to login on sites where email is required. --Myrtone 20:47, 29 January 2011 (PST)
